Founded in 1985, Emma Bridgewater is a British design success story that revitalized the heritage of Stoke-on-Trent. The brand is famous for its “Creamware”—a type of earthenware with a warm, cream-colored body—decorated with whimsical, hand-sponged patterns.

Every piece is hand-decorated using a unique sponging technique. Artists apply cut-out sponges dipped in paint to create signature motifs such as Polka Dots, Pink Hearts, and Black Toast. Because of this manual process, no two pieces are exactly identical.
