Founded in 1951 in Huntington Beach, California, Cambro is synonymous with food service durability. While famous for inventing the fiberglass tray (the “Camtray”), Cambro is also a titan in manufacturing professional-grade melamine dinnerware used in hospitals, schools, and high-volume cafeterias globally.

Cambro's melamine products are engineered for the “Back of House” reality.

Almost all Cambro melamine products are NSF Listed (National Sanitation Foundation). This certifies that the products are easy to clean, non-porous, and meet strict public health standards for commercial food equipment—a critical factor for health inspectors.

Cambro melamine is an excellent insulator. It keeps hot food hot and cold food cold longer than standard plastic, without requiring pre-heating or chilling plates. However, it is rated for temperatures up to 99°C (210°F), meaning it is not microwave or oven safe.
